Are you hesitating between a hand steamer or a Professional clothes steamer ? Or are you simply curious about the difference? In this blog we tell you everything you need to know about these handy devices.

When it comes to caring for our clothes, it's important to have the right tools for the job. Two of our most popular clothes care options are handheld and standing garment steamers .

The benefits of clothes steamers

The best way to steam your clothes at home depends on your steamer. With our CleanSteam technology steamers, steaming is always a pleasure.

  1. Steam options
Hang your clothes horizontally on a clothes hanger and attach to a door/door handle, or lay them flat vertically (especially useful for steaming cuffs, collars or stubborn wrinkles) on the bed or table. Tip: put a towel underneath. Thanks to telescopic rod, the Professional clothes steamer can be adjusted to the ideal height for you.
  2. Water reservoir
Fill the water reservoir with tap water or distilled water. The water reservoir of the handheld steamer holds 100 ml of water, and that of the Professional clothes steamer holds 3 liters. With the hand steamer you steam for about 7 minutes, and with the Professional clothes steamer for 70 minutes.
  3. Warm-up time
Plug your steamer into the wall socket and let it heat up. The hand steamer is ready for use within 20 seconds, the Professional steamer within 45 seconds.
  4. Steam knob and steam settings
With the hand steamer you have to hold the steam button to produce steam. With the Professional clothes steamer, you click the on/off button once and the steamer continuously produces steam. The hand steamer does not have different steam settings, and the Professional steamer has 2.
  5. Steam power
The Professional clothes steamer is 5x as powerful as the hand steamer. The steam production of the hand steamer is 30g/min, that of the Professional steamer is 50g/min.
  6. Compact and space-saving
With a clothes steamer you no longer need an iron and ironing board. The handheld steamer in particular does not take up any space in your home. This also makes it an ideal device to take with you when traveling. The Professional clothes steamer, on the other hand, requires a little more space.
  7. Easy and fast
Place the steam head against your clothing and run it over your clothing in strips. Voilà, wrinkle-free clothing in an instant! If necessary, use a STEAMRS steam glove to apply extra pressure to the fabric and make removing wrinkles even easier.
