STEAMRS Garment Steamer Help Guide: Frequently Asked Questions and Solutions

Congratulations on your new STEAMRS handheld steamer! We’re thrilled you chose us and hope you’ll enjoy your device for years to come. If you have questions during your first use, we’re here to help. Below are common questions and tips to help you get started and get the most out of your garment steamer.

1. Water Droplets or Leakage from the Steamer

It’s completely normal for a few water droplets to land on your clothes while steaming. This happens more often than you might see in promotional videos. Nearly every handheld steamer releases an occasional droplet, and it’s entirely harmless to your clothing.

What if your steamer is leaking excessively? If you notice a lot of water leaking, follow these steps:

  • Identify the leak location: Is it coming from the metal steam plate or the water tank?

  • Check the tank seal: Make sure the black cap on the tank is firmly in place. There should be no gap between the tank and the steamer.

  • Still leaking? Contact our customer service. We’ll be happy to help!

2. Bubbling Sounds During Heating

Hearing bubbling or gurgling when the steamer heats up? Don’t worry! This is completely normal. Think of it like a powerful kettle quickly boiling water above 100°C to produce steam. This sound is part of the process.

3. No Steam Coming Out?

If your steamer isn’t releasing steam, check the following:

  • Water level: Is there enough water in the tank? The STEAMRS matte black design makes it hard to see the water level, so use the included measuring cup to refill.

  • Tank properly inserted?: Remove and reattach it firmly. A gap between the tank and unit can prevent proper function.

  • Power connection: Ensure the plug is securely connected and there’s power.

  • Heating time: The STEAMRS takes about 20–25 seconds to heat up. Wait until the light changes from orange to green before pressing the steam button.

Descaling Your Steamer

If you’ve used tap water, limescale may build up over time. Descale your steamer similarly to a kettle—white vinegar works well. To prevent this, we recommend using distilled, filtered, or reverse osmosis water. This not only prevents scale but also extends your steamer’s lifespan and keeps it performing at its best.

Still No Steam?

If you've followed all steps and there's still no steam—or the device won’t heat—please contact our customer service. We're happy to assist you!
